Join your guides, Jim & Sylvia, for a 10 mile round trip bicycle ride along the beautiful and historic Hop River Trail (converted railroad line) from Vernon to Bolton Notch and back. We’ll depart from the Church St. parking area in Vernon and ride to Bolton Notch where we’ll stop for local ice cream (vegan option available upon request) before returning to our starting point. Along the way, you’ll hear lots of history about the railroad line that became the Hop River Trail and how it was built in the 1800s. The ride is relatively flat on a hard-packed stone dust trail, and is suitable for any riding skill level. We will ride at a leisurely pace with frequent stops for discussion and conversation. Must have your own bike and be a capable rider. Family Friendly, but riders 14 and under must be accompanied by parent/guardian.
